Oregano Essential Oil

Oregano Essential Oil has proven to be the most effective essential oil for killing microbes such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites.

Oregano essential oil has a powerful, spicy and camphor-like aroma. Its taste is aromatic, peppery hot and very slightly bitter. Oregano is a very powerful essential oil (refer to "Small Print" below) and as such should be used with extreme care. Dilution is key - Oregano essential oil can be used in oils (a carrier oil such as olive oil), soaps, shampoos, or diluted in water or cleaning solutions as a disinfectant. It can also be used orally.

Aromatherapy-grade, meticulously extracted from plants by steam distillation.
In other words, this is the "good stuff." These 100% natural essential oils are scientifically tested for purity and contain no chemical solvents, added alcohol or other extenders.

The "Small Print" on Oregano Essential Oil

Oregano Essential oil is considered by some to be a dermal toxin and, some believe, should be avoided in aromatherapy altogether. However, with proper guidance of an alternative health care practitioner or aroma therapist, Oregano Essential Oil can be used safely and effectively. Still, it is a skin and mucus membrane irritant and use should be avoided near the eyes. It should also be avoided during pregnancy.
