The 27oz Klean Kanteen is our most popular size for adults and older children.
With an assortment of caps to choose from, this bottle is up to task. The flat or loop cap are leak proof options, while the sports cap is perfect for cars, desks, sporting events, biking and hiking. The slim design fits most cup holders and bike cages.
All caps mix and match with all sizes of the Klean Kanteen, Greenfeet and More Hip Than Hippie stainless steel water bottles making it efficient and easy to find the appropriate cap for your particular situation.
Our Stainless Steel and Paint is Safe, Free of BPA, and Lead Free
Klean Kanteen is a reusable, light weight, risk-free stainless steel container free from leaching. Made from surgical grade 304 L.N. stainless steel (18/8) which is blended specifically for: food preparation, dairy, brewing, various medical uses such as metal pins, and where mineral migration is unacceptable.
Our stainless steel is put through a passivation / electropolishing process which seals the surface and prevents minerals from migrating into the contents.
Klean Kanteen used Monarch Laboratories to do a 48 hour sterile water test at room temperature. Test report #222812 revealed that no nickel could be detected (0 ppm). Tests also show our bottles to be lead free and safe for use with juice, milk and other beverages.
The color is provided through an Epoxy paint that has been tested to be lead, mercury, chromium and cadmium free. It's dishwasher safe (although we recommend hand washing to retain maximum color).
Size: 27 oz Kolored Klean Kanteen measures: approx 7.5" tall (without lid) x 2.75" diameter at the bottom. With sports cap, height is roughly 10.5" tall.
Please note - we recommend hand washing (and not soaking) the loop and flat caps. The sports cap is fine for the dishwasher. Please no hot beverages. As these are lightweight, single ply stainless steel, there are no insulation properties to prevent burning of the hands. Do not freeze container as expanding liquids may cause distortion of the bottle and voids warranty.
What is BPA?
BPA or Bisphenol-A, is a chemical used in many plasticizers. It's most commonly found in polycarbonate plastics (not all plastics contain BPA). Recent studies have linked BPA to breast cancers and other reproductive mutations. BPA leaches from the offending plastics during everyday use, exposure to heat and especially after cleaning.
