These paper maasai bead necklaces are made by students at the Teenage Mothers Association of Kenya in Kisumu Kenya. The paper beads are made of rolled and varnished pages of recycled magazines. The secure screw in clasp ensures it stays put. These are a customer favorite - people sometimes buy several at a time to give out to friends, family or classmates.

Packaging is accomplished by persons with disabilities, in Central Florida. This is truly jewelry you can feel good about!

When I was a little girl I would sit at the table with my great aunt on her farm in Illinois. On that table were cut-out triangles from magazines and a jar of glue. We would spend hours making beads from this simple material and from those beads make colorful necklaces. I was THRILLED to find these necklaces still being made.
